The successful event organized by the DE&I Steering Committee of the British Chamber of Commerce for Italy.
In its ongoing quest to promote Diversity and Inclusion, the DE&I Steering Committee of the British Chamber of Commerce for Italy (of which InTribe is an active member) organized the event “UpNormal - why aim to be average?”
Held today at the prestigious Sky Italia headquarters, the event provided insights, knowledge and opportunities for discussion on crucial issues related to diversity inclusion and protection in any company, from multinationals to SMEs.
With three workshops focused on gender balance, disability and implicit bias, it was possible to explore in depth some of the most relevant issues in this context.
The day was rounded off with a plenary discussion, moderated by Sarah Varetto, in which participants had the opportunity to listen to the testimonies and experiences of colleagues from different industrial realities, managers, experts and ambassadors involved in diversity and inclusion issues. Values on which InTribe is constantly working to promote concrete actions both inside and outside the organization, thanks also to the constant input within the DE&I Steering Committee.
The event was a resounding success, with both in-person and online audiences demonstrating the importance and relevance of diversity and inclusion.
Numerous speakers contributed to making the event a unique opportunity to share experiences and promote the importance of diversity and inclusion in the workplace, including Diana De Marchi - President of the Equal Opportunities and Civil Rights Commission of the Municipality of Milan, Stefano Ferri - activist, and representatives of Italian multinationals and SMEs, who brought to the stage virtuous examples of inclusion and inclusive innovation.
The event was held under the patronage of the British Embassy in Rome and in collaboration with AIDP Lombardia.
The British Chamber of Commerce for Italy played a central role in organizing the event, and the DE&I Action Champion Network proved to be a benchmark in the field of diversity, equality and inclusion. Members of the network include InTribe, ABC Production Agency, BAT Italia, Bliss Corporation, BSI, Gay Lawyers, KPMG Italy, Sky Italia and the Winning Women Institute. The network is co-chaired by Aaron Pugliesi and Donatella Cungi.
The success of the #UpNormal event demonstrated that collaboration between companies and organizations is key to advancing diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
InTribe is committed to continuing to support initiatives like this and promoting a work environment that values diversity and fights discrimination. We hope that events like #UpNormal will inspire other companies to follow our lead and work together for a more inclusive and equitable future.
